Policing Study The purpose of this research project is to determine student perceptions of policing as a career. If you agree to voluntarily participate in this research, your participation will be very minimal – it will take place at your convenience on-line, and you will be asked to read a short message about policing and then answer a few questions about your impressions of the message. It should take you about 10 minutes to complete. To participate: For your participation, you will be entered into a draw for $100. For those of you who are interested in contributing to this research, please e-mail the primary researcher at: rmugford@connect.carleton.ca. Contact: Rebecca Mugford, Carleton University
Experience Conducting Violence Risk Assessments We are recruiting mental health professionals who have experience conducting violence risk assessments and who can read and write in English to participate in an on-line research project. The focus of the study is on the role of signature risk signs (i.e., early but reliable, unique, and invariant “signature” signals of impending relapse and elevation of risk). To participate: https://my.sfu.ca/cgi-bin/WebObjects/WebSurvey.woa/wa/survey?11940305 Contact: Kim Reeves, BC Mental Health & Addiction Services, University of British Columbia
