The City of Edmonton
proclaimed February as Psychology Month.
A Proclamation was signed by Mayor Stephen Mandel dated A PAA Press Release was issued on The University of Alberta Student Counselling Services hosted several events during Psychology Month. The Calgary Health Region, North West Community Mental Health Centre placed Psychology Month posters on all of their psychologists’ office doors and displayed materials throughout their clinic. Mr. Pierre Berube, R. Psych., Executive Director of PAA and Dr. Neil Mulholland, R. Psych., manned the PAA display booth on February 8 & 9 at the North Central Teachers’ Convention at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton. Ms. Carole Solberg, R. Psych., spoke to students attending the Mary
Butterworth Career Fair in Edmonton
regarding the field of psychology on Ms. Judi Malone, R. Psych., did a presentation on Rural Practice
Considerations for the Mr. Pierre Berube, R. Psych., Executive Director of PAA was interviewed
on Shaw TV regarding Psychology Month on Dr. Horst Mueller, R. Psych., and guest Ms. Leslie Dawson presented the
Diabetes Health Radio Class on February 17 at 9:00 a.m. on AM
930 CJCA Radio.
Ms. Donnelle Scott, R. Psych., manned the PAA booth at the South
Western Alberta Teachers Convention held in Mr. Roger Moses, R. Psych., Ms. Angela Bardick, R. Psych., Ms. Melanie
Reed-Zukowski, R. Psych, Ms. Gail Eastman, R. Psych. and Ms. Nadine Geib,
Provisional Psychologist, manned the PAA booth at the South Eastern
Alberta Teachers’ Convention on February 22 & 23 in Mr. Pierre Berube, R. Psych., Mr. Gene Kalita, R. Psych., Ms. Maureen
Duggan, Provisional Psychologist and Ms. Claudia Wiens-Loranger, R.
Psych., manned the PAA display
booth at the Greater Edmonton Teachers Convention held at the Shaw
Conference Centre in The Manitoba Psychological Society hosted numerous events across the
province.
