Write for a Magazine |

Writing an article for a Canadian magazine is a great way to advocate for psychology. You may decide to write on a psychology topic of interest to you (and relevant to the magazine you choose) and include a few sentences about the current state of psychological services in Canada. However you end up tackling an article, it takes a bit of planning. So before pitching to a magazine, there are a few pointers that are worth considering: How to Publish an Article in a Magazine (PDF 39 KB). The following is a list of selected Canadian consumer publications (including descriptions, writer's guidelines, article lead-times, etc.) which lend themselves to articles related to psychology. For an exhaustive list of Canadian publications - both consumer and industry - please visit Magazines Canada at: www.cmpa.ca
